HID Global’s EasyLobby® Secure Management Software (SVM) integrates with the DSX Access Control system. The integration allows you to grant temporary card access (or barcode access) to certain visitors or contractors directly from the SVM visitor form at the time of check-in. With this optional software component, you can either loan the person a proximity card, or have our barcoded badge open a turnstile or door, or activate an elevator. Tenants can pre-register a visitor in the system for faster entry to the premises.
DSX can communicate and operate with different systems including intercoms, video, and elevators by using DSX-Soft I/O. This software is an open-ended universal translator between systems that don’t know how to communicate with each other. It can receive a command string from one and with the use of virtual inputs, outputs and linking can automatically send a command string to a different system. This allows the full DSX feature set to be used with those virtual points such as linking, alarm reporting, maps, automatic and manual control and full visibility. High Level Elevator Control with OTIS or KONE elevators is also a function of DSX-Soft I/O.
DVR and NVR systems can be accessed over the Network by WinDSX allowing live or recorded video to be requested and played. Cameras can be defined in WinDSX for viewing on demand. Recorded video can be played back when reviewing a history report in a Database. Cameras can automatically be displayed upon predefined alarms.
Today many hospitals, health care agencies, and municipalities are faced with contingency planning for Hazmat Emergencies. With the DSX system, doors can quickly be locked down from the keyboard, an external button, or even a card read. Access can be prevented or just limited to a select few card holders. This lockdown action can be custom fit to the particular needs of the customer.
