Samsung Business Communication Systems (BCS) today introduced the compact OfficeServ™ 7030 and economically-expandable OfficeServ™ 7200-S as the two newest additions to its popular OfficeServTM 7000 series of converged telephony solutions for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). Ideal for cost-conscious start-ups, entrepreneurs and other businesses looking to upgrade their communications capabilities and optimize operational efficiencies, these new platforms allow these businesses to cost-effectively leverage advanced functions such as VoIP, SIP trunking, and WiFi with “right-sized” capacities tailored to meet their needs.
According to the most recent figures available from the U.S. Small Business Administration Office of Advocacy and the U.S. Census Bureau there are nearly 6.5 million businesses with fewer than 20 employees and another 850,000 businesses with between 20 and 99 employees. Yet, until now, upgrading communications capabilities for these businesses meant facing a trade-off between smaller, preconfigured systems with limited capacity and purchasing more expensive, feature-rich systems with excess capacity beyond foreseeable need.
“The addition of the OfficeServ 7030 and OfficeServ 7200-S to our product portfolio offers small and medium-sized firms the functionality of larger systems without the expense of purchasing excess capacity,” said Mike Rosen, Director-Product Marketing, Samsung BCS. “These newest additions extend the reach of the OfficeServ line to better service an underserved segment of the SMB market with systems tailored to the specific size of their businesses.”
“Small businesses should have the same technological advantages as larger companies,” said Doug Wonson, Vice President and General Manager, Samsung BCS. “Our ‘customer choice’ business model is built on offering customers real choices, technology and service. These new OfficeServ platforms give customers additional choices and exemplify our ongoing commitment to providing small and medium-sized businesses with affordable, big-business level solutions backed by the quality and service you would expect from a global leader like Samsung.”
